Bolder Games partnered with Disney Imagineering R&D to create D3-09, an AI character in every cabin in the Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience.
AI conversational characters had not been delivered on this scale or quality before, so Bolder Games and Disney Imagineering R&D needed to design and create ground breaking technology within a physical attraction’s production schedule.
With guidance from key stakeholder, Bolder Games created the D3-09 model, environment, and a fully procedural animation system to bring the character to life. In addition to D3-09, Bolder Games provided critical QA infrastructure and content guidance to help the hotel launch on time to critical and fan praise. Bolder Games continued to support content and tech updates through the life of the hotel until it closed in September 2023.
